William B. Bondeson Honors College Endowment

There are teachers who teach students, teachers who mentor students and teachers who challenge students. But in the case of Dr. Bill Bondeson, he has done all three in the 30 years he has been a professor at MU. From medical ethics to philosophy, he has become a legend with the students at Mizzou, remembered for starting his classes with a good joke such as, “Wouldn’t you say that a man who goes off to live in the woods by himself is ‘Thoreauing’ his life away?” Dr. Bondeson retired in May, 2011. Colleagues, friends, family, and former students have created the William B. Bondeson Honors College Opportunities for Excellence Endowment. This fund provides support for the Honors College’s most pressing needs. If you would like to honor Bondeson’s legacy at MU, please make a gift to the William B. Bondeson Honors College Opportunities for Excellence Endowment today.
