Gifts to the Chancellor's Preservation Society Endowment Fund provide support for the preservation of the Chancellor's Residence and grounds, the oldest structure on the University of Missouri campus. The Residence serves as the private office and the private residence for the chancellor and his/her family; and at their discretion, as a setting for appropriate University gatherings. In 1999, the Chancellor's preservation Society was founded and the house was restored to its original Italianate-Villa style. Gifts to the endowment, both in the restoration phase and now the preservation phase, have greatly revitalized the way the Residence is used to welcome and celebrate students, staff, faculty, alumni and many friends to the University.
