Mizzou Botanic Garden

Mizzou Botanic Garden's 175 Trees

The Mizzou Botanic Garden is celebrating the university’s 175th anniversary with a gift to the campus of planting 175 trees. In 2011-12, we lost nearly 300 trees due to severe drought conditions and will suffer a net loss of between 250-300 trees on campus due to the continuation of the drought.

The mission has been championed by donations of trees from nurseries and contributions from friends of the Mizzou Botanic Garden. Many different varieties of trees, both deciduous and evergreen, have already been planted in locations across campus.

Now the Garden is seeking the support of all our alumni and friends who love our beautiful campus to complete the project. Help restore the splendor of the trees we lost and say "Happy 175th, Mizzou" with a gift today of trees that will grace our campus for generations!

We have met our Phase One goal thanks to the generosity of Tigers everywhere! Donations are still coming in and with further support, we can get closer to replacing all the trees that were lost.
