Brian D. Blankenship Memorial Scholarship

The Brian D. Blankenship Memorial Scholarship was established by the Blankenship Family in 2014 after Brian’s untimely death in October 2014.  The award supports graduate students seeking degrees in public K-12 administration, with preference given to those focusing on fiscal administration in K-12 public schools.  Brian was known for his enthusiasm in mentoring up-and-coming school administrators, particularly in the State of Missouri. His commitment to best practices made him a natural mentor. His career included positions both in the classroom and administration in: Eldon, Trenton, Mexico, Branson, and the Raytown school districts. He also was an active member of the Missouri Association of School Administrators, Missouri Association of School Business Officials, the American Association of School Business Officials and the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals. Brian’s legacy is now carried forward with this scholarship, which honors him and his love for education.
