William B. Fisch School of Law Scholarship
The focus of the endowment is on providing scholarships for MU Law School students and is a legacy fund to honor Professor Fisch’s 40-year career at MU and his love of legal education. He has also been a generous supporter of the Law School with his own resources.
Since his 1970 arrival at MU, Professor Fisch taught Civil Procedure, Comparative Law, International Law, International Business Transactions, Professional Civil Procedure, Professional Responsibility and Constitutional Law and served on numerous law school, campus-wide and university-wide committees. He has been an Isidor Loeb Professor Emeritus since 2003. Bill received his AB degree in Philosophy cum laude from Harvard in 1957, his L.L.B. from University of Illinois in 1960, Masters in Comparative Law from the University of Chicago in 1962 and J.U.D.U. from Freiburg Germany in 1972. Currently he serves on the MU Retirees Association (MURA) Board. He is also MURA representative on the Advisory Council of the Osher Lifelong Learning Center; mid-Missouri subcommittee chair of the Schools Committee, Harvard Club of St.Louis.
