The Board of Advocates (BOA) is a student-run organization at the University of Missouri School of Law that provides students with opportunities to enhance their public speaking and writing skills through practical experience in a variety of advocacy-based competitions. BOA hosts a variety of competitions throughout the year. Any law student, regardless of year in law school, can compete in the competitions, with the exception of the moot courts. Support from law students and the local legal community has ensured the continued success of the many competitions hosted by the Board of Advocates.
