Glenn Grimes Memorial Scholarship

The Glenn Grimes Memorial Scholarship was established by Glenn’s wife Dorthy Grimes to honor the legendary University of Missouri professor. Dr. Grimes began his career at Mizzou in agricultural extension in 1951 and retired as a professor of Agricultural Economics in 1985. From 1956 until his retirement, Glenn served Missouri as a state livestock marketing specialist. Due to his work studying the structure of hog and cattle production and factors that determine demand, he was considered the nation’s leading authority on livestock pricing for many years. He was also a great teacher to students and faculty alike, earning the title of “mentor” to many successful men and women who studied under him at the university.

The Glenn Grimes Memorial Scholarship will fund one or more annual scholarship awards to be given to deserving students enrolled in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. Please join colleagues and friends in honoring Dr. Grimes’ legacy with a gift to the scholarship in his name.
