Bill and Nancy Jackson Scholarship

Colleagues and friends of William P. Jackson have established a permanent endowed fund at the University of Missouri-Columbia in honor of his nearly 50 years of service to Missouri Agriculture, the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources and the CAFNR Foundation. This fund will provide funds for scholarships in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.

Bill’s devotion to strengthening agriculture in Missouri is unwavering. He began his career as a Sales Representative for Monsanto and also worked as a manager in the Wholesale Division of Sur-Gro Plant Food Co., Inc. In 1974, he became President and co-owner of Jackson Chemical, Inc. in Plattsburg, MO. In 1977, he became co-owner of the Brunswick River Terminal and since 1988 part owner of Mendon Feed and Grain. In 1998, Brunswick River Terminal entered into a 50/50 joint venture with MFA, Inc. This joint venture brought Brunswick MFA AGRIServices, Brunswick River Terminal, and Mendon Feed and Grain under on management team to form AGRIServices of Brunswick. Jackson manages AGRIServices of Brunswick and is president of Missouri River Towing. His expertise has made him sought after for boards such as the Missouri River Waterways Council, Missouri Levee and Drainage District Association and the Missouri –Arkansas River Basin Association. Jackson has held leadership positions in nearly every Missouri agricultural organization, including the Missouri Transportation Users Association, Missouri Ag Industries Council, Governor’s Advisory Council on Agriculture, Agricultural Retailers Association, Agricultural Leadership of Tomorrow Foundation and Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation. He has also been active on multiple committees in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources through service on two capital campaign committees, the fundraising campaign committee for the Bond Life Sciences Center and the Vice Chancellor’s Leadership Council. He has also served as a trustee, executive committee member and President of the CAFNR Foundation.His wife Nancy has been by his side every step of the way as a staunch supporter of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources and Missouri agriculture.
