PAWS - Pathways to Success

The Pathways to Success (PAWS) Program focuses on underrepresented minority and economically disadvantaged undergraduates at the University of Missouri serious about a career in medicine. The objective is to provide engaged, academic and professional development interventions enabling students to create competitive applications to the School of Medicine. The Program, a partnership between MizzouMed (formerly the Office of Medical Education) and the MedOpp Advising Office on the undergraduate campus, targets three critical areas needed to be a successful medical school applicant: the academic record, MCAT score and healthcare related experiences.

PAWS creates a steady pipeline of underrepresented minority and economically disadvantaged students into the medical school population and fosters an environment of inclusivity encouraging matriculation. Your donations will help provide these students with the tools necessary to pursue their dreams of a career in medicine and help the School of Medicine’s mission of diversity and inclusion in the student population.
