Dr. Goodman established this endowment to provide support for student research within the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences in the School of Health Professions. Support may include, but not be limited to, scholarships, awards, stipends, research expenditures/equipment and other needs related to students conducting research. First preference for this award shall be given to supporting students who are planning to pursue or currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Health and Rehabilitation Science under the mentorship of a Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences faculty member. In order to assist the University in achieving the benefits of a diverse student body, additional preference shall be given to supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds, including first-generation college students, and/or students that have a demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
