Created in honor of Delmar Hatesohl and Dick Lee, the Hatesohl-Lee Agricultural Journalism Fund for Excellence supports projects to maintain and increase the excellence of the Agricultural Journalism Program. Dick and Delmar have given years of dedication and service to the Agricultural Journalism Program at the MU College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, joining the faculty in 1954. Together, they took an already stellar degree program and made it into one of the top programs of its kind in the nation. Delmar and Dick not only advised their students on course work and helped them find jobs, but they also cared and encouraged students to reach their full potential in their careers and in their lives. In 1997, the 75th anniversary of the Agricultural Journalism Program, dedicated alumni came together to honor Dick and Delmar. Donors have agreed to establish the Hatesohl-Lee Agricultural Journalism Fund for Excellence, which will support educational experiences such as scholarships, internships, field trips, study abroad and new media technologies. Your gifts will carry on the legacy of Dick Lee and Delmar Hatesohl.
