Dr. Sandy Rikoon has been with the University of Missouri for over 30 years, and has served as Dean of the College of Human Environmental Sciences since 2015. His passion for mentoring students, faculty and staff made him an exceptional leader and hugely effective. Sadly, at the close of the academic year, Sandy will be leaving HES and MU to begin a new chapter in North Carolina and return to what he loves most in higher education – research and graduate training.
As the College of HES and MU prepare to bid farewell to Sandy, please join us in honoring him with a contribution to the Dr. Sandy Rikoon HES Faculty Scholars Fund. This fund has been established in the spirit in which Sandy encouraged faculty to be the best researchers and teachers in their fields of study and for their students. We can’t think of a more fitting way to honor his legacy of impact than with a fund which supports his passion for research and teaching.

Research Scholar awards recognize the demonstration of research excellence and plans for research production and productivity. Teaching Scholar awards are for individuals who have demonstrated excellence in the classroom and scholarly contributions to pedagogy or other dimensions of educational scholarship.”
