The MU Veterinary Health Center is a Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS) certified level II emergency facility. Our Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Service is staffed by at least one licensed veterinarian and skilled veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition, on-call personnel are available from the other specialty services. We can perform critical diagnostics at any time, and stabilization, intensive care hospitalization, isolation and around-the-clock monitoring are provided as needed. Complex diagnostic and surgical procedures are also performed for emergency cases when deemed necessary.
To continue providing mid-Missouri pet owners this level of care, additional funds are needed. Your support of emergency and critical care for companion animals will help us purchase state-of-the-art equipment and replace equipment that is aging, thus ensuring that we are able to continue the high quality of emergency and critical care service that our animal companions deserve.
