  Since awarding its first medical degrees more than 165 years ago, the University of Missouri has developed one of the nation's most progressive medical education programs and fastest-growing research programs. MU physicians treat patients from every county in the state, and more Missouri physicians received their medical degrees from MU than from any other university. Our vision for teaching and research is simple: Improve the lives of people in our community, our state and our nation by finding new discoveries to treat the most prevalent health problems.
