In honor of Dr. John and Mrs. Patricia Cowden's legacy of lifelong service, the Department of Ophthalmology launched a campaign to establish an endowment in support of its ongoing education and research efforts. Dr. Cowden joined the MU School of Medicine in 1993 and served as chair of ophthalmology for 20 years. Pat has been involved in numerous MU and community organizations.
