Enrolling over 2,500 high achieving, diverse and talented students, the MU Honors College offers a series of academic and co-curricular programs designed to combine the intimacy and advantages of a small college community with the breadth and depth of a large, distinguished research university. The Honors College is built on the University's four pillars of discovery, respect, responsibility, and excellence, blending them with both community and tradition. The Honors College brings together our best students and our most engaging faculty to provide innovative, challenging, and distinct courses that allows for a dynamic intellectual exploration and more personalized experiences in creative thinking and discussions. In addition to academics, the Honors College provides extensive co-curricular programs, from a living-learning community in the residence halls, public lectures, community-building activities and social events, study abroad programs, internships, celebrations, career and graduate school preparation, and scholarships.
