Discovery Fellows Program

The Discovery Fellows Program provides Honors College students the opportunity to work with a faculty member on a research or artistry project (or other scholarly activity appropriate to the students’ major) over the course of one academic year. Students work eight hours per week during the academic year and are awarded a $2,000 scholarship. They submit monthly progress reports to the Discovery Fellows Coordinator and participate in a year-long seminar series to reflect on and enhance their skills and accomplishments. Faculty who help direct the students’ research receive a modest stipend. The Program prepares the students to obtain their own research or artistry position after two years, with an 89% success rate in getting third year funding.
