Since 1908, the Columbia Missourian has served as a community news organization, learning laboratory for Missouri School of Journalism students and an incubator for innovation in media. Today, as it has always been, the Missourian’s multi-platform newsroom provides J-School students with hands-on experience covering mid-Missouri, under the leadership of professional editors, who serve as J-School faculty members.
Gifts to the Columbia Missourian Endowment enhance the Missourian’s ability to train future generations of journalists and to serve the mid-Missouri community with high-quality journalism. Our goal is to create a $5 million endowment to fund the Missourian’s work in a changing media and higher education landscape and to preserve the Missourian as a hallmark of the Missouri Method.
