The Wellness Resource Center is the primary alcohol and drug education office at the University of Missouri. For more than 25 years, the center has implemented a nationally-recognized wellness approach that begins during summer orientation and continues every month throughout the year. Student educator groups are at the heart of the center’s operations, collaborating to provide outreach and support year-round. They include the MU Student Wellness Advocates peer educators (ADAPT, PAWS, PASS, PARTY), Greeks Advocating for the Mature Management of Alcohol (GAMMA), Active Minds mental health peer educators, and the Sober in College group designed to support students in recovery.
Gifts to the Wellness Resource Center support the work of peer educators by helping students attend conferences for training and by enhancing peer education programs and events such as Alcohol Responsibility Month.
