Vietnam Global Service Program

MU faculty-led and sponsored by the Office of Service-Learning, the Vietnam Global Service program combines academic studies, community engagement, and immersion in Vietnamese culture to give students a deep, meaningful international experience. Students work and live in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) for nearly five weeks, completing internships with local organizations focused on public health, education, and more. In addition to these internships, students also carryout group service activities to learn about micro-financing projects.

A corporate matching gift of $10,500 has been secured to support the Vietnam Global Service program. This program is academic, experiential, immersive, interdisciplinary, professional, and reflective. It helps students become globally minded citizens and provides them with numerous academic, personal, and professional benefits that motivate them for a lifetime.  We invite you to invest in this program that fosters global engagement, community development, and transformative learning for MU students and our international community partners.

If you have any questions about the program, please direct them to its leading faculty members, Mr. Mike Alden and Dr. Anne-Marie Foley. You may also call the Office of Service-Learning at 573-882-0227 to be connected to Mr. Alden and Dr. Foley.
