MISSIONOur organization is dedicated to supporting women and gender minorities in computing careers by providing resources and opportunities to our members and the community. We aim to make a difference for this generation in computing and the next. GOALSThe purpose of this funding is to support members from Develop[HER] get to the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing conference in October! The cost to send one member to Grace Hopper is roughly $1500. We also hold biweekly general meetings and weekly study sessions for all members where we go over large events coming up. These meetings also allow us to connect members with different companies as well as create a space for students to collaborate and work together. The funding will help our organization bring in more speakers, including an alumni panel, to share their stories as Women in Computing. It will also allow us to take a group of students to companies in the surrounding areas and more conferences in our area. Lastly, a portion of the money will be used to help fund the event we are planning with the local Girls Who Code chapters.
