Friends and colleagues of Robert T. Marshall, "Mr. Tiger Stripe Ice Cream," established this fund in 2000 in recognition of Dr. Marshall’s retirement from the food science department he was instrumental in getting established at Mizzou. His impact at Mizzou and beyond through teaching, dairy research and creating Tiger Stripe ice cream has touched too many to count. Because of his impact and the generosity of students, industry partners, and colleagues this fund has continued to grow with hopes of one day reaching the level to endow a named chair in Dr. Marshall’s honor. Today, the fund provides scholarships, graduate assistantships, classroom improvements, and more in food science.
