Europe Bound! Missouri 4-H had a historic contest, with the best team finish since 1920 and the first time in history winning Oral Reasons at the 2023 national 4-H Dairy Judging Contest on October 1 in Madison, Wisconsin. The team of Logan Archer, Molly Archer, Case Melzer and Libby Shaver finished 2nd in a field of 20 teams, won two breeds, second in a third breed, third in placings and fourth in the remaining two breeds, finishing in the top 5 in all categories! This results in the team qualifying for competition in the International Youth Dairy Judging Tour. They will travel to Scottland, Ireland and England in the summer of 2024 to compete with other winning 4-H, FFA and intercollegiate teams and to learn about agriculture and the dairy industry in another part of the world.
