The names Abner Womack and FAPRI have been synonymous for years. He was instrumental in the founding and direction of FAPRI for more than 20 years. With his retirement, a fund has been created to honor his life’s work and to ensure continuity in FAPRI’s mission. It is not a stretch to say that the food and agriculture system in the United States has depended to a large degree on the economic modeling systems and analysis FAPRI has worked to produce. FAPRI is a unique training ground for future leaders and analysts in the agricultural policy arena. They will provide the critical information so our agricultural producers remain profitable and continue to feed the world.
