Dean Of Arts & Science

Celebration of the Contributions of Dean Pat Okker

Friends and colleagues of Dean Pat Okker are proud to help establish an endowed fund in her honor, paying tribute to her dedication to the liberal arts in public higher education. In her 31 years with the University in both faculty and administrative roles, Dean Okker has been unwavering in advancing the cause of a broad-based liberal arts education as a tool for career and lifelong success. A first-generation college student herself, expanding access and providing support to grow graduation and retention rates have been a hallmark of her time as Dean and Senior Associate Provost. Her emphasis on creative thinking, accelerating research, and career readiness have laid the foundation for the College’s future. As a faculty member, she was recognized with the William T. Kemper Fellowship, among the highest honors for teaching at MU. Our University has been profoundly shaped for the better, in so many ways, because of her work and commitment to its mission. Please give today to support a new endowed scholarship for A&S students in honor of her legacy and in celebration of her future!
