Kinder Alumni Council Scholarship

The Kinder Institute is a vibrant program, emphasizing scholarship, leadership, and community alike. Inspired by their Kinder experiences, a group of alumni is creating a scholarship to open the Institute's doors to even more students. This scholarship will aid students from diverse backgrounds and in a wide variety of degree programs deepen their understanding of constitutional democracy while expanding their post-graduate options by supporting participation in programs such as the DC Scholars program and the Oxford study abroad program. Your gift will help ensure these aims are an enduring legacy at the Kinder Institute.

Congratulations to our 2024 scholarship recipient, Gwen Blevins!

Gwen Blevins is a rising junior studying Constitutional Democracy and International Studies. This Summer, Gwen is interning at the Institute of International Education on their Department of Defense (DoD)  team. In this role, Gwen works primarily on the Language Flagship Program, which is a DoD funded undergraduate program that creates global professionals in critical languages such as Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, and Russian. When she returns to Mizzou this Fall, Gwen will work as a Resident Advisor, Teaching Assistant, Parliamentarian for the Mizzou Model United Nations, Vice-President of the Black Pre-Law Students Association, and Associate Justice on the Missouri Students Association student court. In her free time, Gwen enjoys crocheting, reading comics, and spending time with her friends.
