Andrew S. Fluhart Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Andy Fluhart was a dedicated and well-known student leader at Mizzou. Affectionately known as “Flu Diddy” to his friends and family, Andy was a 2000 graduate of Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Missouri. He attended Mizzou from 2000 until he passed away in 2005 following a courageous battle with cancer. Andy was 23 years old. He was heavily involved with the Missouri Students Association (MSA) and was in the midst of running for MSA President when his cancer relapsed. Andy was also a Summer Welcome Leader, a Peer Rape Educator, a tri-chair for the Mizzou Dance Marathon event benefitting children’s hospitals, and the Director In Charge of nightly operations for STRIPES—Mizzou’s student-run designated driver program that started during Andy’s early years at Mizzou. Andy had an infectious laugh, a kind heart, a generous spirit, a brilliant mind, and an unmatched enthusiasm for all things Mizzou. The Andrew S. Fluhart Memorial Scholarship Endowment is being created to honor his memory and to support Mizzou students who share Andy’s passion for student leadership, community service, and the Mizzou Family.
