This scholarship is being established in honor of Breanna Killian and her objective to utilize the veterinary profession to improve the quality of life for animals and their people. One of Breanna’s dreams was to repopulate animal species that are threatened or at risk of extinction. Breanna was a second-year student in the College of Veterinary Medicine when she passed away on September 11, 2021. She was a DVM candidate, Class of 2024, as well as a candidate in the Master of Public Health Program.
Breanna was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she graduated as valedictorian at Green Bay East High School. During college she studied at Concordia University and the University of Limerick, Ireland, completing her bachelor of science degree in biomedical science from St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wisconsin.
This scholarship will be awarded to students in the College of Veterinary Medicine who embody the characteristics of Breanna.
