The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is a student organization that informs Chemical Engineering students of the changes in Industry and builds community among students. Our chapter hosts various social events to foster community within the discipline. Additionally, we hold bi-weekly meetings, where we connect with fellow students and invite industry professionals to speak to our student body. Each year, our organization competes in the ChemE Car competition at the annual AIChE Mid-America Regional Conference. Our student-led design team engineers and builds a small car powered by a chemical reaction. This competition challenges students to apply classroom concepts to a real-world problem.
