The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is a student organization that informs chemical engineering students of changes in the industry and builds community among students. Gifts to this fund will be used to support the activities of the AIChE Mizzou Chapter student organization. The group hosts various social events to foster community within the discipline and participates in local outreach to introduce engineering to our surrounding community. At our bi-weekly meetings, we connect with fellow students and invite industry professionals to speak with our student body. Each year, our organization competes in the ChemE Car competition at the annual AIChE Mid-America Regional Conference. Our student-led design team engineers and builds a small car powered by a chemical reaction. This competition challenges students to apply classroom concepts to a real-world problem.
