The Fabio Chaddad Memorial Fund honors Dr. Fabio Chaddad, an Associate Professor in the Department of Agribusiness Management at the University of Missouri. He completed his PhD at MU in 2001 and joined as a faculty member in 2008. He was devoted to academic excellence in the area of using organizational rules to explain economic performance. During his 20-year productive career, he won numerous awards, published articles in the most notable journals in the field and authored the book The Economics and Organization of Brazilian Agriculture: Recent Evolution and Productivity Gains. Dr. Chaddad showed an unmatchable passion for the academic world. He had a great sense of justice and humanity, constantly translating the words “fairness” and “kindness” into actions. He was the bridge that turned wisdom accumulated by entrepreneurs around the globe into knowledge that could be used by millions of farmers.
