Many current and former military members possess the skill set and workforce training experience to become excellent teachers and facilitators in a variety of settings. Contrary to popular belief, education benefits from the Department of Defense and other agencies rarely cover all educational financial expenditures for military and former military members. In spring of 2017, the Mizzou Military Future Educators Scholarship was established by former military personnel, parents and interested parties, whose passion for education and the military inspired them to help worthy students realize their academic goals of obtaining an education degree. The College of Education proudly supports our current and former military students. This scholarship will be awarded to candidates who have completed at least 24 undergraduate semester hours, helping them finish their journey to their degree.
