Join us in honoring Dr. Judith Davenport, who dedicated 18 years to the University of Missouri, including eight years as director of the MU School of Social Work.
Dr. Davenport was an internationally respected scholar and leader in social work. She played a key role in advancing the School of Social Work by initiating plans for a social work PhD program, expanding off-campus programs, and increasing endowed scholarships. She collaborated with her husband on several books, more than 100 journal articles and book chapters, and more than 150 presentations at state, national and international conferences. Her work took her to 46 states and 25 countries, and her research was cited by authorities all over the world.
The Davenport family requested that memorial gifts be directed to the Dr. Judith A. Davenport Millenium Scholarship fund. This scholarship was established by her husband, Joseph, and daughter, Jennifer, in recognition of Judi's service to the School of Social Work. Your donation increases the impact of this scholarship, which is awarded to students interested in mental health who show promise in the field of social work.
